Elevate the standard of care within Idaho’s medical institutions, with a particular focus on reproductive and end-of-life care.

Our Creed
WE BELIEVE
Our calling as healers compels us to strive for the greatest good of every human individual affected by our medical decisions.
WE BELIEVE
The highest quality of medical care never involves the intentional harming or killing of an innocent human being.
WE BELIEVE
All members of the human family are made in the image of their Creator and as such are divinely imbued with intrinsic value.
WE BELIEVE
The established scientific facts of embryology that affirm a living genetically distinct and whole human individual comes into existence at the moment of conception and thereby represents the smallest member of the human family.
WE BELIEVE
Human dignity and value are shared maximally and equally among all members of the human family from the beginning of life at conception until life's end at natural death.
WE BELIEVE
The unborn human individual’s right to live is irrevocable and inviolable at every moment of existence.
WE BELIEVE
It is prima facie morally wrong to intentionally kill an innocent member of the human family; the unborn human is an innocent member of the human family; a successful abortion always kills the unborn human; therefore every abortion is prima facie morally wrong.
WE BELIEVE
Human gender is intrinsically linked to biological sex an inherent unalterable binary characteristic determined at fertilization by genes present on the X and Y chromosomes defining the person's reproductive role as male or female. Compassionate and competent medical decision-making recognizes and respects this biological reality.
WE BELIEVE
Human value is not determined or diminished by phenotype or genotype mental capacity, physical size or ability, economic power or cost of care, level of development, or degree of dependency the circumstances of conception gestational age or birth status.
WE BELIEVE
Care discrimination or favoritism originate from eugenic conceit and are reprehensible examples of medical injustice that hold no legitimate place in the medical profession.
WE BELIEVE
Maternal bodily autonomy is limited and does not supersede or supplant the bodily autonomy of the unborn child she carries in her womb any more than if she carried that same child in her arms.
WE BELIEVE
Despite our profession's moral inconsistency and lapses, it has the noble heritage and solemn duty to practice medicine according to those honorable doctrines enshrined in the ancient Hippocratic tradition.
